CURRICULUM

TIK has a “whole child” approach to education that aims to develop children intellectually, physically, emotionally, socially, and aesthetically. We are committed to instilling each child with a strong sense of morals, values, and character that all parents can be proud of. We provide a comfortable, caring, and stimulating environment where each child has the opportunity to develop the confidence, self-awareness, and tools they need to be successful in all aspects of their lives.

We believe that every activity is an opportunity for growth and learning, whether it be through play, daily routines, social interactions, or academics. At TIK, learning is everywhere!

TIK provides a comprehensive curriculum that is aligned to both US State standards and best practices in international schools. Our curriculum supports the intellectual, physical, emotional, social, and aesthetic development of young children. The developmental standards and goals of this curriculum focuses on seven key areas:

The TIK curriculum is designed to meet the needs of young children from 18 months till 6 years. Early childhood is a period of remarkable growth where children seek out the stimuli they need in order to nourish their developing abilities. Young children need a strong foundation of experiences that will be essential for life-long learning, a strong sense of self, and a genuine thirst and passion for learning.

It is during this time that children begin to develop higher order thinking skills such as problem solving and logical reasoning. Our curriculum is tailored to provide these much needed experiences for your child.

OUR PROGRAMMING

Our programming is child-centered and maintains a balanced approach where children experience both self-directed and guided activities. Children are encouraged to explore, manipulate, create, and construct things in their environment.

We also recognize the importance of play in child development. Play is a child’s path to learning and developing important life skills. Play provides opportunities for children to observe their environment first hand, use their imagination, develop and enhance linguistic skills, practice social interaction, make decisions and solve problems, develop body and spatial awareness, and express their feelings, thoughts, and ideas. The aim of our programming in a word is balance. Our “whole-child” approach centers around giving children the tools they need to succeed not only in the classroom, but in life.

カリキュラム

TIKではアメリカ合衆国をはじめ、他の様々なインターナショナルスクールのスタンダードに対応できる質の高い、そして幅広いカリキュラムを用意しています。

このカリキュラムを通し、子どもの豊かな知識と創造性、健康的な身体や、社会性、芸術性の 発達・育成を目標としています。

カリキュラムは以下の7つの項目に、とくに重点を置いています。

TIKのプログラミング

TIKでは子どもをただ導くだけでなく、子どもが自発的に活動できるよう、子ども一人一人の可能性の芽を理解し、その芽を引き出すためにバランスの取れたプログラムを用意しています。

子ども達は自らのいる環境のなかで、探索、処理、創造、組み立てることを学びます。また、私たちは、子どもの発達過程においての“遊ぶ”ことの大切さを重要視しています。子どもは遊びのなかで想像力を養い、情緒的・知的・社会性を身につけていきます。知識を詰め込むだけではなく、決断力、問題解決能力、人のことを考える力や豊かな感性を養うとともに、好奇心や探究心を培います。その後の社会で必要な能力をこの時期の遊びを通して沢山学びます。

私たちはこの子ども達がクラスのなかだけでなく、その後の社会に羽ばたいていけるようなプログラム提供することを目標とし、実践しています。
